Hey Anne-Marie! Oh don't worry, I thrive on "well actually" haha.
You're totally right though, people are certainly capable of solving their conflicts in mature ways, and with start-ups a lot of these red flags may not apply due to lack of resources, oppose to lack of management acknowledgement.
From my working experience I have always found that more HR was needed, but again, that experience may not apply to everyone.
I wanted to caution it, because it usually isn't a great sign, but people can hopefully make their own decision on if it's truly affecting the workplace.
